STACK - Material Response To The Quarantine 2020

Always scavenging the off-cut pile, I started the project STACK to triumph the waste wood.

STACK is essentially the action of moving off-cuts from a rubbish pile to another pile, given value by the time spend making it.

The QUARANTINE made wood supply short but scavenging-time longer and the STACK grew capturing my quarantine time in isolation with accessible wood, reflecting on material value.
A STACK is a pile of off-cuts held together in a scheme of overlaying  halving joints.
The thin sections of 10mmx10mm makes even the most bend and twisted of off-cuts pieces have an opportunity.
Although manifested in the quarantine the STACK will grow out of quarantine times as we do.
